All students are required to wear a leotard and tights to each class. Warmups are permitted
for warmup times in class. Dance dresses, skirts, leotards, sweaters, legwarmers, etc. are
permitted, provided they do not obstruct the view of the body from the instructor.

Unless otherwise specified for class, hair must be completely out of the face. A bun is
required for ballet.

Proper shoes are required for each class:

Ballet: pink ballet slippers with elastic.

Jazz: tan jazz shoes, slip-on jazz boots are preferred, but laced shoes are acceptable.

Black jazz boots may be required depending on recital costume.

Modern: bare feet, dance paws, foot undees, etc. For younger students, lyrical strap
shoes are permitted, though other shoes may be required for recital performance.

Tap: younger students - mary jane style tap shoes, older students - oxford style tap shoes.

Pointe: pointe shoe requirements will be discussed the first week of class.

Hip-Hop: black dancesneakers or tennis shoes.

Any shoes with laces should be double knotted for class or performance.
